Following up on a previous item. ... Marshall’s dedicated this summer to regaining his 4.4 speed, and to do so he’s returned to the training program he had coming into the 2006 draft. The work he’s been doing since February has been paying off because it appears Marshall’s achieved his speed goals with a month to spare.

Marshall’s trainer, Matt Gates, who is with FitSpeed Inc., recently shared with Sun-Sentinel staffer Omar Kelly that his client is consistently running a sub-4.5 40-time. Gates says Marshall was running a max speed of 19.5 miles per hour on a high speed treadmill back in 2006, shortly before the Denver Broncos drafted this two-time Pro Bowler in the fourth round. These days Marshall, who is in good spirits, has posted a max speed of 22.5 mph. Gates also sent Kelly proof in the form of a video (view
HERE). ... Assuming Marshall avoids further issues and injuries, it would appear he'll be ready to provide Fantasy Football owners with a solid draft-day value (at least based on recent mock drafts we've seen) -- Chad Henne willing.
