an ongoing story. ... The Jets have said they want to re-sign him and Holmes is on record that he wants to come back. A source who knows Holmes well told FOXSports.com's Adam Caplan that the wide receiver “is absolutely looking forward to playing the rest of his career in a Jets uniform.”

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Jets have made no real secret of their desire to retain Holmes. This is the most definitive statement we've heard confirming the interest is mutual -- although Holmes, who caught 52 passes for 746 yards and six touchdowns last season following a four-game suspension, has previously indicated
he wants a long-term deal. Assuming they keep Holmes, the Jets will likely be hard pressed to keep both Braylon Edwards and Brad Smith, both of whom will be available to the highest bidder.
