The Facts:
According to Sun Sentinel staffer Omar Kelly, there are two things the Miami Dolphins WILL DO this offseason….write it down….take a picture….consider it the gospel. The Dolphins will add a veteran quarterback who is experienced, and savvy enough to push -- if not unseat -- Chad Henne for the starting QB spot. The Dolphins will also add a tailback who has the ability to run stretch plays, which are toss sweeps and things of that nature that get to the EDGES.

The "all caps emphasis" above is Kelly's and the reporter further notes that GM Jeff Ireland and HC Tony Sparano’s jobs depend on achieving both objectives. Kelly isn't sure if the QB acquired will be Carson Palmer, Kyle Orton, Kevin Kolb, Matt Flynn, Vince Young, Matt Hasselback, Donovan McNabb or Rex Grossman. But it will be someone. As for tailback, Kelly is hearing from reliable sources that DeAngelo Williams, Ahmad Bradshaw, Darren Sproles, Reggie Bush are all candidates to complement Daniel Thomas because all have speed, can catch passes out of the backfield and make things special happen. Kelly believes Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown are backup options for the Dolphins, who are ready to move on.
