As PFT's Mike Florio reminded readers, when the NFL and the NFLPA worked through last Thursday night and into the wee hours Friday, only to call it quits early Friday before taking the holiday weekend off, the two sides risked squandering the progress that had been made. One of the big questions as the owners and players rejoined the talks today in Manhattan after six days off was whether they would pick up where they left off, or whether it would take time to get back to where they were last week. It looks like the momentum remains. As Florio summed up, even though today's progress doesn’t mean a deal is coming tomorrow or Saturday or even Monday, it’s good news. ... Stay tuned. According to NFL Network insider Albert Breer, the discussions continue at this time.
