Indeed, NFLPA spokesman George Atallah told the New York Times this is just a procedural move and doesn’t indicate the state of negotiations. ... Otherwise, it is safe to say the negotiations continue. In fact, ESPN insider Adam Schefter just advised his Twitter followers more progress has been made: In the proposed CBA, retired players will get nearly $1 billion in additional benefits over 10-year life of the agreement. ...
