The Facts:
Following up on the ongoing labor story. ... Brees denied reports that he's looking to capitalize on his plaintiff status in the class-action antitrust lawsuit against the NFL. "I want no special perks," Brees wrote on his Twitter account. "My job is to get a fair deal for all players, and I am proud to represent them all -- past, present and future."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Brees added: "All media claims about me wanting a personal reward for this deal are false. I hope you all know me better than that. ..." Well, the media claims have come from very credible reporters like Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe, Mike Freeman of CBSSports.com and Mike Florio of Profootballtalk.com. In addition to Brees, Peyton Manning and Vincent Jackson (like Brees, named plaintiffs in antitrust suit) would reportedly like cash or exemption from future franchise tags as part of a settlement of said suit. Brees' tweets come in the wake of reports that both he and Manning have
softened their stance in the wake of criticism -- including
a rather harsh assessment by a fellow player. ... Meanwhile, we'll go ahead and note that whatever demands are being made as part of the settlement discussions, nobody seems to believe it will keep an agreement from being made. ... Stay tuned. More undoubtedly to come.
