According to Anderson, there is a chance Buckhalter can return for less money. But his release makes the already high probability the Broncos make a play for Panthers free-agent RB DeAngelo Williams seems even more likely. ... Meanwhile, as Profootballtalk.com pointed out, Buckhalter had a career-high 882 yards from scrimmage at age 31 in 2009, but his production fell sharply last year. It's hard to imagine him getting a signficant offer from another team.
