The Facts:
Williams might not make this too hard on the Panthers. The free agent RB did a live video chat with fans Monday night and he made it clear he hopes to stick with the organization. Talk can be cheap but in this instance it appeared genuine. “I honestly and truly want to stay a Panther and they’re doing their part of keep me a Panther,” Williams said, according to Steve Reed of the Gaston Gazette.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Williams is expected to meet with the Panthers and general manager Marty Hurney today when the team can get down to business with contract negotiations. "Carolina gets the first stab at me," Williams said. "If everything looks great, then why entertain other offers? So that’s where we stand right now. ..." As NFP staffer Brad Biggs pointed out, Williams has flourished playing along with Jonathan Stewart and he liked what he heard from new OC Rob Chudzinski earlier this offseason. “Chud said he has a big role for me and Jonathan to play this year and I’m pretty excited about that,” Williams said. “They even have packages where they will put me and Jonathan in at the same time, so it’s going to be pretty cool. ...” It will be interesting to see if Williams' tune changes when other offers role in.
