Brown Still Not Willing To Trade Carson Palmer
(7/26 10:37 PT)

The Facts:
Since Mike Brown’s position of not trading him has not changed, Palmer has two options -- report to training camp and return as the team’s starter or file retirement papers. Reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to Enquirer staffer Joe Reedy, the Bengals could place Palmer on the Reserve/Did Not Report list which means the remaining four years of his contract tolls. If he sat out the year and then came back next year, there would still be four years remaining. Another thing the team could do is fine him for each day he does not report for training camp. For those holding out hope that Brown might trade him, the trading period does start today. But Brown sounds adamant. “Carson signed a contract, he made a commitment," the owner said. "He gave us his word. We relied on his word and his commitment. We expected him to perform here. If he is going to walk away from his commitment we aren’t going to reward him for doing it. ..." Stay tuned. This one is only going to get more interesting in coming days.
