As NFL.com suggested, given Matthew Stafford‘s injury history, depth at QB might be more important to the Lions than most teams. Stanton, 27, appeared in six games for the Lions last season, making three starts. He threw for 780 yards and four touchdowns with three interceptions. He was the third-string QB, behind Stafford and Shaun Hill.
