Reported by the Newark Star-Ledger
Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
This morning, the Jets
agreed to terms with free-agent receiver Santonio Holmes, who was their top priority. Being able to bring back both Holmes and Edwards was thought to be a difficult task financially, but not ruled out immediately. After agreeing with Holmes, the team's next priority is a CB. ... As Star-Ledger staffer Jenny Vrentas notes, Edwards made clear several times during the offseason his desire to return to the Jets, even saying that he would take a hometown discount. Edwards had 53 catches for a team-high 904 yards and seven touchdowns last season. Edwards is anxious to find out where he will play next. "On another note whatever team wants B easy step to the fore front so we can get this thing moving forward. "will work for touchdowns" lol," he wrote in another Tweet.
