According to Inquirer staffer Jeff McClane, that trade -- Kolb to Arizona for cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and an unspecified draft pick -- is on track to being completed some time this week. Reuben Frank of CSNPhilly.com reports that the Eagles and Cardinals have made “significant progress" today. But as McClane stressed, a deal isn't done until it's done. There are a few moving parts that have held the trade up from being finalized, one being a contract extension for Kolb. He has one year left on his contract and the Cardinals would likely want to lock him up long-term after giving up so much in compensation. If the Eagles and Cardinals can't agree on a swap, other teams are interested in the 26-year-old -- although possible openings appear to be dwindling.
