The Facts:
The Titans had a couple of day to trade Young and a $4.25 million roster bonus that would have come due on Friday. They couldn’t trade him, so they’ve cut him. As expected, the Titans have released Young, the third pick in the 2006 draft.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As PFT's Mike Florio understated, the market is expected to be soft for Young. But it's also hard to argue with Florio's contention there aren't 32 QBs in the league right now better than Young. He should be starting somewhere. Florio suggests, for example, Seattle. The Seahawks have Charlie Whitehurst and Tarvaris Jackson. Is Young is better, more accomplished, and more experienced than them? Yes he is. Florio went on to suggest that if any NFL coach knows what Young can do, it’s Seattle HC Pete Carroll, whose hair got a little bit grayer while standing on the sidelines of the 2005 BCS national title game. It's a good point. But the Dolphins remain a possibility -- at least until we figure out if they'll trade for Kyle Orton or not. What about Washington? And ESPN's Adam Schefter suggests Young would be a great backup for Michael Vick in Philadelphia.
