Hurd played collegiately at Northern Illinois University before being signed by the Cowboys as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2006. The 6-3 receiver made six career regular season starts in Dallas and posted career highs in 2007 with 19 receptions and 314 receiving yards. He will join another former Cowboys receiver in Roy Williams, who will sign with Chicago when he is officially able to later Friday.
