Following up on the previous item. ... The Broncos appear to be closing in on signing McGahee. ESPN is reporting McGahee has reached a three-year, $7.5 million agreement with the Broncos, but the team will not confirm an agreement.

McGahee has been the Broncos' No. 1 choice in free agency. He played for Broncos RBs coach Eric Studesville when both were in Buffalo from 2004 to 2007. McGahee has been a back-up to Ray Rice in Baltimore the past two seasons, averaging 6.7 carries per game. According to Post staffer Mike Klis, McGahee is expected to complement Knowshon Moreno, not replace him as the starter. That's an interesting twist given the recent reports indicating the new coaching staff doesn't view Moreno as a front-line back. ... Stay tuned. We will be revisiting this issue as camp progresses.
