The Facts:
Volek was the latest QB to agree to terms Saturday, accepting a two-year deal in San Diego as Philip Rivers' backup according to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune. He’ll get $6 million over two years, with $2.5 million guaranteed in 2011.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As PFT's Gregg Rosenthal notes, we haven’t seen Volek play much in a while because Rivers has proven so durable, but he’s been productive before as a starter. But the fact Norv Turner stuck with Volek and allowed Charlie Whitehurst to move on via trade to Seattle last year tells you a little something. If nothing else, Turner has been around the NFL long enough to be considered a solid judge of QB talent.
