According to PFT's Michael David Smith, Gore will play under his current contract, although Harbaugh indicated that the 49ers are open to giving him a new deal. “We’ll earnestly look at that in terms of extending him,” Harbaugh said, per Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com. As Smith reminded readers, Gore is due to make $5 million this season, the final year of his current four-year, $28 million contract.
