The Facts:
Best looked quick, and he's healed from turf toe in both feet. After about an eight-week break at the end of the season, he began working out lightly in February, then going hard in March. "Unless it's the same thing, the same kind of hits happen again, you can't be cured from it," Best said of turf toe, which is the spraining of toe ligaments. "I can't get it again. I'm just praying that it won't happen again. But as far as lingering from last year, there's no way."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
While we're obviously pleased to hear Best is at full speed, we're still a bit leery. We probably aren't alone. And that might be the best news from a Fantasy Football perspective. Best's fast start last season -- five TDs in the first two games -- was most impressive. But his failure to find the end zone again for the rest of the year, combined with the arrival of Mikel Leshoure, could make Best one of this season's top value picks. Especially if Detroit Free Press stafer Dave Birkett's prediction that Best will have a bigger impact than Leshoure this season comes to pass. Given Best's experience with the scheme and the fact that Leshoure's prep time will be limited by the lockout, it's not an unreasonable assumption.
