The Facts:
Boss remains unsigned and the last anyone heard he was still negotiating with the Giants and what his agent termed a "handful" of teams. So the Giants appear to either be moving on, or at least getting ready for a fallback option.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to Daily News staffer Ralph Vacchiano, the team will meet sometime in the next two days with free agent TE Ben Patrick. The former Arizona Cardinal is entering his fifth NFL season and 45 passes for 446 yards and four touchdowns in his four NFL seasons. So clearly the 6-3, 264-pounder isn't as accomplished a receiver as Boss is. Patrick also was suspended for four games in 2009 for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy. ... Hard to consider Patrick an upgrade over Boss, but the latter has been a bit more fragile than hoped.
