Tebow is in a serious quarterback competition all right. He and Brady Quinn are neck and neck in the battle for the No. 2 QB spot.

Based on the way the reps were divided during the Broncos’ full-pad practice Monday, Post staffer Mike Klis reports that Kyle Orton the Broncos’ No. 1 QB free and clear. There was no mixing in the other QBs with the first-team offense. Orton took them all. Occasionally, the veteran Quinn, the team’s No. 3 quarterback all of last season, mixed in ahead of Tebow with the No. 2 offense, although it still appears Tebow is the No. 2. ... According to Klis, Tebow has shown improvement with his passing in recent days. And the competition doesn’t really get serious until the first preseason game or two. But at this point, Klis believes Tebow needs a preseason game to make a move.
