Teammate Has High Expectations For Jerome Simpson
(8/1 7:10 PT)

The Facts:
QB Jordan Palmer thinks Simpson could have a big season in OC Jay Gruden's new offense. Simpson had trouble picking up the previous offense under coordinator Bob Bratkowski, which required receivers to make more decisions and reactions. "This is a system where Jerome can line up and know exactly what he's doing," Palmer said Monday. "He can run with the best of them. This system allows him to be able to just play free and run the routes he's worked on." Reported by the Associated Press

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Simpson exploded onto the Fantasy scene over the final two weeks of the regular season, with 124 and 123 yards against San Diego and Baltimore, respectively. He also managed to snag three touchdown passes during the stretch. And despite the fact he'll be playing with a rookie QB, in Andy Dalton, we tend to agree with Palmer: Simpson's physical abilities and attributes make him a great fit for the Bengals' new scheme. At this point, we'll continue to grant him sleeper status -- but we suspect it won't last long.
