After first suggesting that Ford might be out two weeks or so, HC Hue Jackson would only say he thought Ford would play in the opener on Sept. 12 against Denver when pressed on the issue Monday. That's not a good sign. ... As one of the fastest players in the NFL, his big-play potential is obvious. But much like teammate Chaz Schilens, whose talent is almost legendary, Ford needs to be on the field to make good on his potential. ... Stay tuned. We'll continue to follow up as needed.
