Of course, as PFT's Mike Florio notes, the filing of retirement papers has no connection whatsoever to the potential continuation of a player’s career. Brett Favre filed his retirement papers in 2008. And all he had to do to return was to send a letter saying, “I want to play. ..." As for the Eagles offer, Florio believes it's most interesting due to the fact that Moss was thought to be interested in playing for the Eagles before he announced his retirement. While we don't know what the offer was worth, we now know there was some mutual interest. It could resurface if Moss has a change of heart.
