According to Carroll County Times staffer Aaron Wilson, the Chiefs have signed McClain.

Wilson went on to note that McClain, formerly the Ravens FB (with aspirations to be more of a ball carrier) has been talking to the Chiefs for a while. Chiefs GM Scott Pioli targeted him and did a lot of homework. It will be interesting to see if McClain doesn't get that chance to be more involved in the offense -- at least as a ball handler -- in Kansas City. HC Todd Haley has made more extensive use of the position since his arrival. McClain would offer more running talent than the Chiefs have had at the spot.
