Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
And as Post-Dispatch staffer Jim Thomas suggests, that means the long-running saga of trying to find a bona fide backup to Pro Bowler Steven Jackson has finally reached its conclusion. This is the third offseason the team has looked to find backup help for Jackson. Barring injury, Williams will be the No. 2 man in the backfield behind Jackson, with Atlanta's Jerious Norwood -- who joined the team Tuesday -- as the No. 3. (Norwood also is expected to return kickoffs.)
