According to Chronicle staffer Vittorio Tafur, Ford is feeling a lot better, and will push to be back in time for the season opener. HC Hue Jackson initially said Ford would be out a couple of weeks and then later when pressed said he thought Ford would play in the opener Sept. 12 in Denver.
