Brett Favre Watch Back On? Really??
(8/4 12:42 PT)

The Facts:
Agent Bus Cook has now twice told the media that Favre is retired. “Brett Favre’s retired, that’s all I can say,” Cook told ESPN in the wake of Dolphins coach Tony Sparano’s refusal to rule out “anything” when asked about possibly signing Favre. “He’s like Elvis now. People just won’t let go.” Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
After swinging and missing on Kyle Orton and settling for Matt Moore and with a possible win-now-or-else mandate, Sparano isn’t actually saying whether he is or isn’t, or whether he will or won’t when it comes to Favre. Per Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Sparano said simply that he can’t say that it won’t happen. “I can’t rule anything out,” Sparano said. “I’m giving you the only answer I can give you. ...” Or as PFT's Mike Florio put it, "In other words: Gentlemen, start your tractors. Favre Watch IV has officially begun. ..." We would tell you to stay tuned and that we'll probably have more on this. But you already know that.
