According to San Diego Union-Tribune staffer Kevin Acee, Naanee signed a contract with the Panthers.

Nobody expected Naanee to return to San Diego and it wasn't clear where he'd wind up. Now that he's joined the Panthers, the move makes perfect sense. Naanee will be working with HC Ron Rivera and OC Rod Chudzinski, both of whom were Chargers assistants last season. They know what they're getting in Naanee -- and beyond Steve Smith, the Panthers aren't known for their high-end receiving corps. ... One possible reason for concern? Naanee was
arrested and charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest in Indianapolis earlier this year. There could be disciplinary action. We'll be watching for more.
