The Facts:
After holding out hope that Bulger's injured throwing shoulder would come around, the Rams finally conceded the obvious Tuesday. Namely, that Bulger must wait until next season to throw his next NFL pass. Bulger was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.

Bulger's third season as the Rams' starting quarterback lasted just eight games. He completed 66.9 percent of his passes (192 of 287) for 2,297 yards, 14 touchdowns and nine interceptions. His passer rating of 94.4 is fifth best in the NFL this season. ... For the record, the Rams have announced a starter for this week's game.
