The Facts:
A banged-up Tomlinson wants to keep playing even though next week's game has no tangible meaning. "I want to finish the season strong," Tomlinson said after Saturday's loss to Kansas City eliminated the Chargers from playoff contention. It was his third straight game playing with the bruised ribs and he played with a protective jacket and the aid of a pain-killing injection.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Tomlinson is 65 yards shy of becoming the team's all-time leader in yards from scrimmage. Lance Alworth's 9,721 yards are the team's current top mark. Also, should he score for the first time since his three-touchown game at Washington on Nov. 27, he would set a team record with his 20th touchdown of the season. He currently shares the record with Chuck Muncie, who scored 19 in 1981.
