Rex Grossman heads a lengthy list of starters who won't play today against the Vikings. Kyle Orton will make his 15th start of the season with backup Jeff Blake also expected to play. Muhsin Muhammad (calf) is the only other skill player declared inactive. Bernard Berrian starts in his place.

Thomas Jones needs just 27 yards to become the only Bears running back to rush for at least 1,300 yards in a season other than Walter Payton, who did it nine times. He won't remain in the game long after he reaches that milestone. Cedric Benson is active, but it's not clear if he'll play.
