Bralyon Edwards Goes Under The Knife -- Finally
(1/3 6:58 PT)

The Facts:
Edwards had successful surgery Tuesday to repair a torn ligament in his right knee and faces months of rehabilitation. Edwards, the No. 3 overall pick in last year's draft, injured his knee trying to make a leaping catch in Cleveland's Dec. 4 game against Jacksonville. Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
He missed the Browns' final four games, and had to wait until swelling in his knee subsided before he could have surgery. Although Romeo Crennel hopes he returns sooner, player typically needs eight months to recover from the operation, a timetable that could make it difficult for Edwards to be ready for Cleveland's 2006 season opener.
