Nick Saban said the team will examine possibly trading running back Ricky Williams if another team expresses interest. But Saban said that scenario applies with any player, although keeping Williams and rookie running back Ronnie Brown could be problematic over the long haul.

The debate about Williams is how much is he worth in trade. During the final two weeks of the season, Williams had 54 carries for 270 yards, numbers reminiscent of when he led the NFL in rushing in 2002. He also is under contract for the minimum salary through the 2007 season.
