The Facts:
Michael Vick's position coach, Mike Johnson was notified that his expiring contract would not be renewed, Jim Mora said. Johnson took over as QBs coach in 2003 under Dan Reeves, but role was reduced when Mora arrived in 2004 because offensive coordinator Greg Knapp also coached quarterbacks.

Mora said he would begin a search for a new quarterbacks coach in the near future. He did not rule out promoting one of his current assistants. One possibility could be Robert Prince, who serves directly under Knapp and also helps coach running backs. Another possibility? Third-string quarterback Ty Detmer, a 14-year NFL veteran who may retire.
