The Saints met with Cowboys assistant head coach/quarterbacks coach Sean Payton in San Antonio on Wednesday about their head coaching vacancy, and they have scheduled interviews in New Orleans next week with Browns offensive coordinator Maurice Carthon and Jets defensive coordinator Donnie Henderson, according to league sources.

The visit with Payton was more of an introductory meeting. Henderson is expected to make a similar visit to San Antonio on Friday. Saints general manager Mickey Loomis said it will be important for the team to show the candidates where they would be coaching and living to ease concerns they might have about life in the recovering city.
