The Saints contacted the former St. Louis Rams coach Thursday morning to arrange an official interview for late next week, a league source said late Thursday night. Martz is the first former head coach to be identified as a Saints target.  Reported by the New Orleans Times-Picayune

Martz has received little interest on the open market. The Saints are believed to be his first official contact. ... Saints general manager Mickey Loomis also had an informal meeting with Dallas Cowboys assistant head coach/quarterbacks coach Sean Payton on Wednesday night in San Antonio, and New York Jets defensive coordinator Donnie Henderson is expected to meet Loomis in San Antonio today.
