The Facts:
Warner's agent is confident he'll be hearing soon from team officials about a new contract for his client. Mark Bartelstein said this week that Rod Graves, Cardinals vice president of football operations, expressed interest a few weeks ago in negotiating after the first of the year.

Those negotiations have not started, but Bartelstein said he expects a call from the Cardinals in the next few days, which would jibe with previous reports out of Arizona indicating the team would indeed make an effort to keep Warner on board and let Josh McCown move on via free agency.
