The Packers have hired Jeff Jagodzinski as their offensve coordinator, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports. Jagodzinski served as the Falcons' offensive line coach this season after working as the Falcons' tight ends coach in 2004.

The news about Jagodzinski comes just a day after new Packers head coach Mike McCarthy released six assistant coaches and two staff members in his first full day on the job. Defensive coordinator Jim Bates, who interviewed for the head coaching job on Monday, was not among them and could stay with the team.
