Per Schefter, the 49ers went so far as to fly HC Jim Harbuagh into Durham, N.C, on Tuesday and watched Manning work out. The team then sent their medical people out to examine Manning on Wednesday. ... While the Broncos and Titans are still considered the favorites -- and Schefter notes the fact that Manning hasn't visited San Francisco's facilities might indicate they are lagging behind the other two, tyhe Niners feel they also have a real shot at landing Manning.
