Schilens has had his moments as a tall, possession receiver and stayed healthy for the first time in his career last season, but needs to take the next step. It appears he'll get that chance in New York, where the Jets seem to believe he's a legitimate candidate for their No. 2 role opposite Santonio Holmes. The 6-4 Schilens fits the profile of the tall, speedy receiver who can stretch the field that the Jets' are lacking. Now he just has to prove his notable physical characteristics can make him a consistent producer -- something that never happened in Oakland.
