As ESPN.com's Bill Williamson notes, Leinart played for new offensive coordinator Greg Knapp in Houston and Leinart is close with Oakland starter Carson Palmer. Leinart was a backup to Palmer early in his career at USC. Terrelle Pryor is on the roster, but as Profootballatlk.com's Michael David Smith suggests, Pryor is more suited to spot duty as a change of pace who can threaten teams with his arm and his feet than he is as a backup who could run the offense if Palmer went down. ...
