He's the third free agent wide receiver to sign with the Patriots in the last few days, joining Brandon Lloyd and Anthony Gonzalez. ... Stallworth caught 22 passes for 309 yards and a touchdown with the Redskins in 2011. He had 46 catches for 697 yards and three touchdowns in his first stint with the Patriots. Stallworth tweeted that "This time around, things will be different" on Monday. ... As PFT's Josh Alper suggests, the signing is a further effort to add deep speed to the receiving corps. His arrival could push Chad Ochocinco even further down a depth chart that he might not be on when the 2012 season gets underway.
