The Facts:
Because Johnson's $8 million salary for 2012 wouldn't be guaranteed until the fifth day of the league year, the Titans had a chance to get off the hook for part of the monster $53.5 million extension he signed last September. The Titans scoffed at the notion, and now it's officially a dead issue. Johnson's salary of $8 million for this fall is now fully guaranteed, a year after he rushed for 1,047 yards.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Johnson has already made it known he plans to lead the NFL in rushing in 2012, something he did in 2009 when he ran for 2,006 yards. If he struggles this fall, however, Tennessean staffer Jim Wyatt predicts the topic will come up again. Another $9 million of Johnson's guaranteed money won't become fully guaranteed until the fifth day of the 2013 league year. ... Johnson has 5,645 rushing yards in his first four NFL seasons. It's the most yardage of any running back in the NFL since the beginning of the 2008 season.
