The Facts:
Following up on the
ongoing story. ... A major factor in Tebow's push to come to New York over Jacksonville, his hometown, is that he sees a clear path to resuming his career as a starter, sources tell the Daily News.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As Daily News staffer Gary Myers notes, the Jets will start Tebow off in a limited role as the Wildcat quarterback and Mark Sanchez's backup but that doesn't mean he won't be pushing for more. And as Myers went on to suggest, "if Sanchez and Tebow play like they did last year, the Jets could have a new starting quarterback by Halloween." This is a crucial year for Rex Ryan. If Sanchez doesn't respond to the pressure Tebow puts on him, Myers believes Ryan will go into self-preservation mode and could demote Sanchez to save himself. It would appear the reason Tebow feels his chances of taking over the starting job in New York are better than in Jacksonville is due to the fact that while the new owner in Jacksonville, Shad Khan, was pushing for the move, his football people were against it. In New York, all involved (owner Woody Johnson, GM Mike Tannenbaum and Ryan) were pushing to do the deal. ... So stay tuned. The stage is set.
