The Facts:
According to ESPN.com's Rich Cimini, Sanchez was stunned by
the Tim Tebow trade, coming so soon after the contract extension. He never saw it coming.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
While his report directly contradicts a previous report by New York Post staffer Brian Costello (suggesting
Sanchez was handling the move just fine), Cimini goes on to make a broader point (a point also made by NFL Network insider Michael Lombardi), suggesting that Sanchez needs to make his unhappiness public. Per Cimini: "If he wants to be the leader of the Jets, Sanchez needs to say something -- anything. He can't wait two months, the amount of time that elapsed before he fired back at the unnamed teammates that ripped him after the season. He needs to be decisive. ..." Lombardi wrote: "For all the talk of being a leader,
Sanchez never operates like one. He should have leveled the Jets for making this move, and made it clear he was not interested in leaving the game for a gadget offense. Sanchez needs to stand up for himself and not appear as if he was paid off to be a good soldier. ..." Not everybody agrees. Profootballtalk.com's Mike Florio wrote: "
He definitely shouldn’t. The back pages of the New York tabloids would take Tebowmania to a new level if/when Sanchez says or does anything to show that he doesn’t like the move." That being the case, Florio believes the smart move for Sanchez is to do exactly what he’s saying and doing right now. ... But can he keep it up? Stay tuned.
