The Facts:
Following up on the
ongoing story. ... Donning a grey suit and green tie, Tebow addressed the New York media for the first time as a Jets quarterback. "Good to see all of you all -- a lot of people here," Tebow said. "It's such an honor for me to be here. I'm so excited to be a Jet. I'd like to thank the Broncos ... thank my teammates. Just looking forward to my time in New York and my time as a Jet."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The introductory press conference (minus HC Rex Ryan, GM Mike Tannenbaum and owner Woody Johnson -- all of whom are attending the NFL's owners meeting in Florida), was held in the Jets' fieldhouse rather than their media room. The 80 chairs set up for reporters were said to be insufficient and there were more than 40 television cameras lined up three deep. The presser was carried live in its entirety by both ESPN and the NFL Network. And while the newcomer said nothing controversial (while being amply deferential to starting QB Mark Sanchez), the fact that such an event was held for a backup quarterback is certainly going to be discussed further both in the media -- and in the Jets locker room. Stay tuned.
