Billy Cundiff Likely To Face Competition
(3/27 4:2 PT)

The Facts:
HC John Harbaugh, speaking at the NFL owners meetings, said that the team is going to look for other kickers to compete with Cundiff over the summer. "Yeah, we'll probably bring the best group of players to camp that we can," Harbaugh said, via the Baltimore Sun. "If we can get a kicker that is capable of competing with Billy, we'll do it." Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As PFT's Josh Alper notes, Cundiff missed a 32-yard field goal - and missed it badly - with 11 seconds to play in the 23-20 AFC Championship Game loss to the Patriots. After the game there was much discussion about Cundiff's readiness to take the kick as well as Harbaugh's decision not to call his final timeout when his team looked like they were rushing more than you might like before a kick of such importance. But the issues went beyond that one kick -- important though it was. Cundiff missed 10 field goals last season, all of them on the road. It would be hard to justify a failure to at least look to improve at the position.
