The Latest On Mikel Leshoure; Just Pure Stupid?
(4/3 9:48 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on a previous item. ... Leshoure told the Lions that he missed a court hearing Monday afternoon in Berrien County because the hearing was rescheduled for Wednesday. Not true, according to Berrien County court officials. Leshoure, 22, was scheduled to appear in Berrien County District Court at 2 p.m. Monday to be arraigned on a charge of possession of marijuana, second offense. He didn't show up. Berrien County Prosecutor Arthur Cotter said Monday that a bench warrant for Leshoure's is likely to be issued on Thursday if Leshoure doesn't clear up the matter before then. Reported by MLive.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Leshoure was charged March 12 when he was riding in a car that failed to make a left-hand signal. The car got pulled over by a Baroda-Lake officer, who later reported that the car's interior smelled strongly of marijuana and Leshoure was cramming marijuana into his mouth. In was Leshoure's second arrest for marijuana possession in Berrien County in less than a month. He also was arrested in Benton Township on Feb. 18. ... "It's just pure stupid" considering that police officers aren't actively looking for marijuana arrests, said Gary Ruhl, chief of the Baroda-Lake Township Police Department, which issued Leshoure the appearance ticket. "If you're going to (smoke marijuana), do it in your house. ..." Ruhl added: "He's a good running back. But he's not good about staying out of trouble in Berrien County. ..." Pure stupid. Hard to say it any better than that. ... Stay tuned.
