The Facts:
Following up on the
ongoing story. ... As expected, Peterson tried running last week for the first time since undergoing knee reconstruction, and the results were what the Vikings wanted. "Did a great job," HC Leslie Frazier said. "Everybody was impressed. Our trainer, Eric Sugarman, was really impressed with his movement and the things he was able to do. He's on schedule. He's doing well."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Peterson, 27, tore the anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament in his left knee on Dec. 24 at Washington. He underwent surgery six days later with Dr. James Andrews, who selected the therapists Peterson has been working with much of the offseason at his home in Houston. Running last week matched the timeline Sugarman laid out for reporters in January, saying it would take about three months for the patella tendon from which Peterson's new ACL was grafted to be strong enough. But Peterson is clearly feeling good. "He said, 'How fast should I go?' We're trying to just judge movement, and he wants to run a 4.3 40. But he has to let that graft continue to heal. He understands that there's a time frame he's working within, and so far, so good. ..." Stay tuned. More as developments warrant.
