More Details: Percy Harvin Having Bone Spurts Cleaned Up
(4/3 6:57 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on the ongoing story. ... The shoulder injury that will send Harvin into surgery occurred during the season, HC Leslie Frazier said on Tuesday, but the standout receiver only reported discomfort and underwent an MRI after it flared up during a weightlifting session last month. "It actually dates back to the season, but he was feeling pain the last ... two or three weeks," Frazier said. Reported by 1500ESPN.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Harvin first revealed the injury via Twitter on Tuesday. It's a minor procedure to clean out bone spurs in one of the receiver's shoulders, NFL sources told 1500ESPN.com's Tom Pelissero, and as previously noted, Frazier confirmed Harvin should be ready when organized team activity practices begin on May 29. "He was feeling some pain. He was lifting weights and he just felt like, 'You know what? I need to get this checked out because this is continuing to bother me.' So, he flew up and went over and did an MRI and saw some things that we probably need to get taken care of." Frazier said he wasn't sure which shoulder is injured and that no date or venue has been set for surgery, although it's likely that'll happen within the next week or two. ... Stay tuned.
